YSA Design proposal for UK flagship

The released rendering proposal for the forthcoming UK flagship features exterior architecture conceived by YSA Design.

The YSA Design team, led by Senior Architect & Partner Jan Krefting and Creative Designer Jonas Aabel, are pleased that their proposal for the exterior architecture of a new British Royal Yacht / UK Flagship was well received by the UK government. Senior officials expressed their enthusiasm for YSA’s design concept, which elegantly recalls the vessel’s predecessor, the Royal Yacht Britannia.

“This is a very high-profile project for the British government, and we are honoured and humbled to have been a part of it,” says Jan Krefting. “Our proposal for the exterior of the yacht proved popular with key decision-makers. The UK Flagship project will now be developed by British yards, Architects and designers. We hope that this will be a flagship the nation can be proud of.”

YSA has previous experience designing royal vessels, having been involved in interior refurbishment projects for HNoMY Norge, Royal Yacht of the King of Norway, which is moored at Kongen Marina (the King’s Marina) next to YSA’s iconic offices in Oslo.
